Linux Kernel Developer (m/f)

Location: Boston, USA or Karlsruhe, Germany. Home office is also an option.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance Astaro Security Gateway Linux kernel and system-level applications
- System level debugging and optimization
- Integrate kernel features
- Feature allocation with kernel and applications as required
Qualifications:
- Programming skills in C
- Knowledge of Linux kernel architecture on x86 platform (process & memory management, security and file system)
- General knowledge of the Linux networking stack (Netfilter in particular)
- Familiar with networking tools on Linux platform
- Knowledge of system-level technology. Interconnects (PCI, USB, etc.) would also be to your advantage
- Knowledge of package management (deb, rpm) would be a plus point
- Good language skills in English
- Take pleasure in personal development through goal orientation
