- FAQs
-
- Which Astaro Gateways can be managed by ACC? As an entire command center, the ACC can manage every Astaro Gateway solution: Astaro Security Gateway, Astaro Web Gateway and Astaro Mail Gateway.
-
What must be considered when sizing ACC appliances? The capacity and the performance of ACC appliances depends on two factors:
1. The number of Astaro Gateways connected.
2. The number of users logged on at the same time to the Gateway Manager.
You will find further information on the capacity of the individual appliances in the ACC Datasheet.
-
What are the advantages of the hardware appliance over the software version? The key advantages are:
- ACC hardware appliances are based on Astaro certified hardware. Thus, Astaro guarantees that all ACC software versions and updates have been extensively tested on this hardware platform.
- Gold or Platinum Maintenance is additionally offered with hardware appliances, which guarantees an efficient hardware exchange (in the case of defective merchandise) as well as enables 24/7 access to Astaro Platinum Support.
- Do I need special licenses for the hardware appliances? Yes. As with all other Astaro Gateways, special basic licenses (for each model) are required. The software/virtual appliances licenses cannot be applied to hardware and vice versa.
