Astaro Names New Global Vice President, Marketing

New Position Signals Astaro’s Growing Opportunity and Success.

BURLINGTON, Mass. - January 25, 2006 - Alex Neihaus, an IT industry veteran, has joined the Astaro Corporation as vice president of worldwide marketing. Astaro is the leader in unified threat management network security products and creator of the multiple award-winning Astaro Security Gateway line of software and appliances

Neihaus brings with him a varied background in networking, enterprise systems, design software and messaging infrastructures. He joins Astaro from Ipswitch, a developer of software for small and mid-sized businesses worldwide, where he led global marketing efforts. Prior posts included Revit Technology, an architectural design software business acquired by Autodesk, Inc. Neihaus has also worked for IBM Corporation and Lotus Development Corporation, where he was director of marketing for Lotus’s Asia-Pacific region.
